At Use That Camera, we believe that great photography isn’t about having the most expensive gear - it’s about knowing how to use the camera you have. We help aspiring photographers build the skills and confidence they need to take stunning photos and turn their passion into a thriving business.

Our online course breaks down everything you need to know: camera equipment, settings, lighting, posing and editing - in a way that’s simple, practical and actually makes sense. No overwhelm - just clear, step-by-step guidance to get you shooting like a pro.

Our Story

Hi! We're Jeremy and Cathleen Burns.

After getting married in October of 2014, we decided to buy a camera to begin capturing the special moments of our lives, and “maybe even start a side hustle.”

We opened our business, Burns Exposures Photography, in 2015. After a few short months, I (Cathleen) left my job as a TV News anchor/reporter to pursue photography full time. That leap of faith was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The amazing hubby that he is, Jeremy was easily persuaded to come along for the ride.

In 2020, we purchased our first studio, and have since purchased our second one; an old movie theater that we're remodeling into a studio (talk about a project)!

Family is extremely important to us. Our two kiddos keep us on our toes and motivated to keep working hard!

Our schedule is jam packed with photo shoots, and we consistently bring in six figures per year with our photography business.

Somewhere along the way, we realized we love mentoring other aspiring photographers. We knew we were limited to how many we could reach in person, so we dove into the world of online education. Cue the creation of USE THAT CAMERA!
